Been here twice in the past few days. Service has been great and quick, and their breakfast burritos have been delicious! I moved to VA a few years ago and am visiting family. You can NOT find breakfast burritos out there! The #8 and #5 REALLY hit the spot and satiated my chile / breakfast burrito cravings!
Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews, but my last two experiences were great! -

My friend and I went here for lunch. I ordered a 1/2 size Twister Burrito with ground beef and Christmas chile. My friend ordered the Saturday taco special which comes with a 1 chicken, 1 shredded beef and 1 carne adovada taco. My burrito was fantastic. He said he really enjoyed his tacos, with the exception of the piece of plastic bag that he found in his lettuce.
You read that right. A piece of plastic in his taco. He pulled it out, showed it to me, and I thought we would lose our appetites. We were both really hungry. So we cleaned our plates and enjoyed the food... as much as one could knowing that there's plastic pieces in the tacos. The plastic was like a the top of a sandwich bag.
You'd think that would be the reason I'm giving this location a 2 star, but it isn't. It's only half the reason. As soon as we entered the restaurant, I started swatting flies away from my face. After about the fifth one, my friend and I looked at each knowing what we were going to say before we said it. The flies were driving us crazy. You'd think this was going to sway us from eating here, but we didn't. We had a food review to do.
That's right, we have this all on film, including the plastic he found in his food and my reaction to it. We'll be uploading it online in the near future.
Like all Twisters restaurants, the recipes, food portions, ingredients and style of preparation or very good. Normally, Twisters food is fantastic and we love it. I've been to Twisters over 50 times in my life and my friend has eaten at this specific location more than 75 times himself with his wife. They've never had these kind of problems in the past. Something happened to this location. The floors were sticky like a dirty movie theater, the tables are all filthy, the chairs are all easily 10 years old or older and falling apart. We know the age of the chairs, because that's how long my friend has been eating there and it's the same chairs and one visit to this location will show you how ripped and torn they all are, the flies were everywhere including dead ones in the windows, the floor and the tables. Just 3 or 4 years ago when we visited this place regularly, it wasn't even close to this bad. What happened owner/s? This place is a DUMP now. Stop, clean your restaurant. Put some pride into your lobby. It's very disheartening to see this place today. Sad. -

Nom nom nom! I like Twister's, they have awesome fries, and if you're a Diet Pepsi addict like me...they have Pepsi products. I usually get the Americano chicken sandwich. It's grilled chicken, mayo, tomato, and lettuce. It's pretty good, nothing special.
Fries. Curly fries. Lots and lots of curly fries! They give you a big portion of fries, so find someone to share them with or eat them all on your own, I won't judge you! They are good!
I've had breakfast here and I'm surprised I haven't gone back for breakfast lately. Previously I've had the French toast sticks - lots and lots of cinnamon, and the Albuquerque breakfast burrito, easy chile. If you're not big on chile, you might want to go without, the red chile is hot! I like the taste, so I ask them to go easy on me (born in NY, raised in in So Cal, still haven't adjusted to the chile thing).
Definitely good food and good prices at Twisters. -

Stopped in to my a breakfast bowl. The food was good, girl that took my ordered sweet enough. Although the guy who brought me my bowl and appeared to be working the window was disgusting. Dirty, stains everywhere, very unkept! Have a little pride in yourself and your work place. Plenty of people looking for jobs that will proudly represent your business.

My family and I usually go to Twisters for breakfast. We usually order a variety of breakfast burritos( either #4 or #8) with green chile or sometimes red. Our kids usually get either # 4 or #3 without chile; they are still getting a bit accustomed to it. Usually, the food is quite good and fresh. In the past, there had been a few order mishaps, but the management staff were quick to apologize and correct the issue.
Today, I ordered a veggie omelet, which was quite good. The omelet included eggs, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, green chile, and cheddar cheese. The vegetables were nicely cooked with a slight crunch. The green chile gave the omelet a nice spicy kick and the cheese brought the dish full circle with a smooth texture and the comfort that you get when adding it to a breakfast item. The omelet came with pan fried potatoes and either toast or tortilla(flour or corn). The potatoes were a nice golden brown and crispy. I ordered the wheat toast and it came lightly toasted and buttered.
I want to send a shout out to Jonathan for the great inside counter service. He was very kind and professional while taking my order. He had a pleasant down home attitude which made me feel like I was ordering breakfast from a neighborhood store. Great job!
Overall, another great visit. We will be returning for more delicious food.
